it begins!
i’ve got eight tomato plants growing on the deck right now. they’ve really been flourishing. i have a feeling that jon and i will be swimming in tomatoes soon! these are the first guys to ripen. they’re a Sun Gold variety, and have a brilliant taste that just explodes in your mouth.
the next ones starting to ripen are Sun Sugars, and they’re looking beautiful. they’re a nice bright orange, a little yellower than the Golds. i’ve also been growing Yellow Pears, Donas, Enchantments, Sweet 100s, and Better Boys. i have a feeling i’m going to need a little table to put at the end of the driveway and sell them, because there’s just no way i’m going to eat all these myself! jon doesn’t even like tomatoes! it’s been a lot of fun watching them grow though.
