someone dumped another cat off at betty’s, and this one was pregnant. only two little kitties, which is sad. i’m sure there were more who didn’t make it, two is such a small litter. there was a little tiger striped boy, and this orange and white girl. too cute! she loved rolling onto her back and having her belly rubbed. they’re about four or five weeks old (just getting teeth nubbies), and they were so much fun to play with! i held one in each hand, their backs in my palms, bellies up, and rubbed their heads and necks until the fell asleep. too bad i didn’t have any hands left to take a picture of them like that!
the boy has a home, but this sweet little orange cream puff is still looking…
a tip for anyone who reads this and has a website, is thinking about getting a website, or even knows what a website is:
please, for the love of god, DO NOT put any kind of music on your site. it’s OBNOXIOUS. like typing in all caps *snickers*
if i cannot disable the music within three seconds, i can guarantee you that your site will be closed. i have my own music, thank you. this includes any kind of sounds too, not just music. little tweety birds chirping or the sound of the ocean is just as annoying.
i love this. it’s the top of the banjo, which i’m sure has a technical name, but i don’t know it. beautifully hand carved by A Small Banjo.
we were at jon’s step-dad’s sister’s place last sunday (yeah, try keeping that straight!) and her husband (ha! it gets better!) has a banjo collection. he is having jon make him a website for his banjos/blue grass music, and we took some pictures for it. his banjos are not ordinary musical instruments in any way.
another trip to aunt linda’s. i think this was last week? she’s put new ground cover out by the road, with some nice rocks and such to hold everything in place. it looks good! teeny tiny flowers… i love them!
i’m sorry it’s been so long since i’ve made a real post. not much has been going on here. jon’s been working like crazy, and i’ve…i’ve been watching a lot of tv. my bursitis is driving me insane. i can’t really do much of anything. i can play video games for an hour or two before it gets angry. i can’t even think about knitting or doing any embroidery. it even hurts to hold books for too long!
because i can’t knit, i’ve been writing some patterns instead. i have a pattern together for Aragog, and am working on more. i’m planning on releasing them as downloadable pdfs, and possibly printed patterns (though hard copies will cost a little bit more). since jon is working like crazy, this may take a little while. he does all the technical things like create pdfs and set up paypal buttons and such. i promise to get them together in the next month or two. keep checking in!
in the meantime, feel free to pre-order 101 Designer One-Skein Wonders. you can see the Little Monster on the cover :D
